Brussels. Directors, volunteers and active staff of international associations have a new date on their agendas: the first-ever European Association Summit (EAS), in Brussels on 16 and 17 May 2013.

Under the banner “New Horizons, Fresh Ideas – Taking Associations to the Next Level” EAS 2013 aims to give association operatives a vital educational platform, help them add value to their organizations, and create a dynamic meeting point.

EAS is packed with working sessions and top panelists from industry, institutions and the academic world. A unique opportunity for association professionals, not to be missed.

Innovative programme
Day 1 of the EAS is held in partnership with the European Business Summit at Autoworld (near Brussels’ European District). This is one of Europe’s top events for business leaders and policy makers from more than 60 countries. Around 1,500 delegates are attracted every year to this meeting which combines business spirit with social awareness.

Themed, “Unlocking Industrial Opportunities - An EU Strategy for Competitiveness”, the day includes an address by European Commission President José Barroso.

Day 2 is dedicated entirely to associations and takes place at the spacious and spectacular SQUARE – Brussels Meeting Centre in the centre of Brussels.

The programme is established in partnership with UIA. It aims to give association professionals an innovative and memorable experience with peer to peer workshops on the hot topics and issues, as well as providing a dynamic forum for the exchange of good practice and networking.

“EAS 2013 is the place to be for all association professionals who want the latest thinking, ideas and developments in the fast-changing world of associations” says Hervé Bosquet, Director Brussels Convention Bureau.
