After the meeting in Amsterdam

Marlies Steinebach-Verstoep, Manager Business Development at Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre

My favourite spots: Top restaurants:

Izakaya, Amsterdam’s new it-place takes the Japanese dining experience to the next level.

Vis aan de Schelde, great fish restaurant, just opposite Amsterdam RAI.

Willems, one of best and most real classic restaurants in Amsterdam

Best bars:

Strand Zuid, of course “Strand Zuid” our own city beach is one of the best places to have drink or a bite to eat in the summertime.

Rain Restaurant Bar & Club, Rain is a bar, restaurant and club all in one. The atmosphere is quite clubby. The food is good and the service is very nice, and the cocktails are fabulous here.

MOMO Restaurant, Bar and Lounge, not only do they serve good food and drinks in a trendy establishment, they are also located in one of Amsterdam’s most beautiful neighborhoods, very near the best shopping streets.

Hot spots:

Rijksmuseum: If you are into the Dutch masters, you soon will be able to visit the Rijksmuseum. It will reopen after ten years of building work, renovations, and restoration. The opening of the new Rijksmuseum will take place on Saturday 13 April 2013.

Concertgebouw: With its exceptional acoustics and high-quality programming, it is truly one of the most exclusive concert halls in the world.

Eye: The Dutch Film Institute is the centre for film culture and heritage, it is dedicated to developing a vigorous film culture in the Netherlands. Not only a must for film lovers but an architectural adventure as well

The premises of the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre consist of 11 multifunctional halls that can be used for exhibitions, trade fairs and cultural, sporting and other events. It has 64 meeting or conference rooms (1,750 capacity). In addition to organising 25 of its own exhibition titles, Amsterdam RAI facilitates over 500 events a year. w w w. rai. nl
