Established 1989, as an inter-governmental organization with India as the host country, pursuant to recommendations of various S-XS0033 - Conference of Heads of State or Government of Non-Aligned Countries.
Promote mutually beneficial cooperation in science and technology among non-aligned and other developing countries; stimulate and promote joint research, development projects and training programmes; act as a clearing house of information regarding technological capabilities of individual countries; maintain a registry of scientific and technological experts of high calibre for utilization of their services by member countries.
