History
Founded as a sectoral University-Enterprise Training Partnership (UETP). Formerly known as Women in Technology in the European Community. 2001, established as a non-profit European association.
Aims
Increase the number of girls and women studying science, engineering and technology; develop women's technical and entrepreneurial skills through training initiatives and projects; create information exchanges and networking opportunities for women in science, engineering and technology; promote and support research into areas relating to women in non-traditional fields; promote regional, national and international awareness and interest in the field.
