Founded by 7 national and international choral organizations, representing 88 nations.
Aims
Strengthen cooperation among national and international organizations and individuals interested in all aspects of choral music; encourage formation of choral organizations; foster and promote international exchange programmes for choirs, conductors, composers and students of choral music; promote, coordinate and encourage choral festivals, seminars, competitions and meetings; facilitate dissemination of choral repertoire, research, recordings and other appropriate materials; encourage inclusion of choral music in general education.
