Opened to researchers and the public, 1986. Memorandum of Understanding between EUI and EC reinforced Historical Archives' role, 2011. Council of European Union amended regulations, Mar 2015. New Framework Partnership Agreement between EUI and EC signed, 15 Apr 2015; renewed 2019.
