The Council Decision and the Agreement on an International Energy Programme (the Agency's operative agreement signed 18 Nov 1974) followed negotiations within H-XH3163 - Energy Coordinating Group arising from an intergovernmental conference on energy, Feb 1974, Washington DC (USA). Long Term Cooperation Programme approved by the Governing Board in Jan 1976.
Provide data, analysis and policy guidance across the energy mix; advise on ensuring energy security, economic growth, environmental sustainability and access to governments and other stakeholders around the world.
