History
May 1999, as UITP General Commission on Transport Management, as an international commission of B-XB2765 - International Association of Public Transport. Previously also referred to as International Commission on Transport Management and UITP Commission on Transport Management. Ceased to exist 2009, on merger with U-XK0628 - UITP Commission on Human Resources, to form UITP Commission on Business and Human Resources Management.
Aims
Provide a platform for discussion of "horizontal" and general issues of transport company management; emphasize to UITP members that organization, service management, human resources, information technology and marketing are becoming the key elements of a modern management of public transport company, in addition to traditional fleet operation.
