Nov 1948, Philadelphia PA (USA), a World Union of Ukrainian Women having been set up in 1937.
Aims
Represent member organizations internationally; coordinate their activities at the national level according to Congress resolutions; promote cultural and educational programmes advancing the status of women; foster the development of the Ukrainian language, literature, history and fine arts; maintain charitable programmes which maintain the principles of political and religious tolerance, recognizing and respecting universal human rights; support the new democratic Ukrainian nation.
