First Global Legal Forum Annual Conference to take place in Peace Palace The Hague
The Hague, 21 June 2018 - The Global Legal Forum Annual Conference connects various stakeholders from the legal and public sector to address issues affecting the industry. The first conference of its kind will take place in the Peace Palace, The Hague on 23 and 24 August 2018.
The Global Legal Forum was established in 2017 by Law Pundits, the world's first ISO certified legal academic services firm, in cooperation with The Hague City Council and The Hague Convention Bureau. It is a platform which consolidates lawyers, legal academics, in-house counsels, judges, law ministers, legal policymakers, technologists and futurists.
This year's Global Legal Forum Annual Conference evolves around the theme "Legal Technology, Blockchain, and AI - The Changing Dynamics of Law". The event gathers law ministries, leaders and significant global players from the legal technology sector to discuss the impact of technology on the future of law. Keynote speakers from international organisations will address the future of technology in dispute resolution.
Vishnu Prasad, CEO of Law Pundits and President of the Global Legal Forum states that The Hague as the International City of Peace and Justice was the right choice for hosting their conference. According to Prasad, 'The fact that throughout history, some of the most important international legal treaties were signed in this city, coupled with several international legal institutions being located here, we could not have thought of a better venue to host it. We plan to make it an annual event and we want to continue hosting the Global Legal Forum Conference in The Hague annually'.
Nienke van der Malen, director of The Hague Convention Bureau states, 'It is a great honour to welcome the Global Legal Forum Annual Conference to our city. The Hague not only stands for Peace and Justice but is a frontrunner in (cyber)security questions as well. The objectives and scope of the event thus could not be more in line with what our city represents. We are excited to aid in organising a memorable first edition of the conference'.Around 350 delegates are expected to attend the event in the Peace Palace. Registration for the conference is now open.
