The stability, viability and sources of revenue for Associations are under the microscope at boardroom tables across the globe. Diversifying revenue streams is critical for Associations seeking financial stability, sustained growth, managing the talent crunch, addressing flux in the marketplace, and the impact of increasing competition and digital transformation.

In adherence to the principle of "Communication & Cooperation, Development with Concerted Efforts", on November 15, during the "Silk in Lyon", at the invitation of UNITEX, the vice chairman unit of International Silk Union (ISU), “2023 ISU Members Assembly & International Forum on Sericulture Silk Industry Development Trend” was held in Lyon, France.

On November 15, during the "Silk in Lyon", the "International Forum on Sericulture Silk Industry Development Trend", organized by International Silk Union(ISU), Silky Cities, and Silk in Lyon, was successfully held in Lyon, France. Representatives from 16 countries and regions, including France, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil, Japan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Ghana, Romania, Spain, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya, and China, with nearly 150 ISU members and silk industry representatives from various countries, participated in the forum offline or online.

In order to investigate the current state of international silk industry development, strengthen exchange and interaction with silk organizations and enterprises in Southeast Asia, solicit opinions regarding the changing of ISU organization structure, and invite relevant entities to participate in the "2023 International Silk Union Members Assembly" scheduled to be held in Lyon, France, from July 30th to August 4th, 2023, a delegation led by Zhang Guoqiang, Chairman of ISU and Chairman of the board of Cathaya Group, conducted a survey of the silk industries in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodi

The BTO CVB has been especially busy this month in November, participating in various MICE events. US travel agencies specializing in incentive travel were invited for a fam tour and sales consultations were conducted through a Busan MICE roadshow in Taipei. The BTO CVB will also soon be participating in two major MICE exhibitions: IBTM (Incentive Business, Travel and Meetings Expo) World 2023, the world's largest MICE industry expo, and Korea MICE Expo 2023, the largest MICE industry exhibition in Korea.
