| | | | | | It is with sorrow UIA has said goodbye to Professor Gianni Tibaldi who passed away in December at the age of 88. Professor Tibaldi was a UIA Active Member for 28 years since joining in 1990. In 1999 he was elected to serve on the UIA Council. Professor Tibaldi was known and respected for his work on and study of psychology, international diplomacy, and policy making. A true polymath; he worked in eight languages, and saw his research appear in countless academic publications. He will be remembered for founding the Italian Centre for International Associations, and for serving as Secretary General of the Italian Association for the United Nations University. Our condolences go to his friends and family. We will miss him.

Education. The UIA Associations Round Table aims to promote and facilitate the work of international associations by providing training and networking opportunities.
•The 7th Round Table Asia-Pacific will take place in Pattaya, Thailand on 19 & 20 September 2019.
•The 13th Round Table Europe will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 4 November 2019.
Topics which are set to be covered include: UN Accreditation, networking, event organization, external communications strategy, membership, governance, legal statutes, and accounting. The full programmes can be found online.
