Established by Council Regulation EC 1360/90; amended Jul 1994 (Regulation EC 2063/94) and Jul 1998 (Regulation EC 1572/98); recast in 2008 (Regulation EC 1339/2008). A decentralized agency of F-XF2147 - European Union (EU), set up under T-XT9113 - Treaty on European Union (Maastricht Treaty). Became operational in 1994. Located at Villa Gualino, Turin (Italy).
Aims
Contribute to the lifelong development of individuals' skills and competences through improvement of vocational education and training systems in partner countries; help transition and developing countries in the context of the EU's external relations policy.
