We are proud of our achievements, but this celebration is about the future. This is an exciting time for the Union of International Associations. We are exploring new developments in our products and services, new ways of making them available and more accessible, and new areas of cooperation.

The first of a series of events taking place from 2007 to 2010 was a strategic session taking place on November 23rd at the International Associations Center in Brussels; an open and constructive dialogue entitled "Looking at the future of the UIA". At this event we discussed how the UIA can enter its second century of service to the international community, and how we can best serve international organizations.

The backdrop of the strategic session was an exhibition, "Past, Present, Future", culled from the UIA's archives, taking visitors from 1907 to 2007, a century of unprecedented activity and growth for global civil society and intergovernmental organizations.

Participants were UIA's partners, its active and associate members, and invited representatives of international associations and institutions. For more information on the session, please see our list of participants, have a look at the photos.
